On Sunday afternoon we caught up with Ashley Cole playing football with some friends during a holiday in Mauritius. At the time we wondered whether he was planning on coming back to the UK to celebrate his wife’s birthday and perhaps she was wondering the exact same thing.
But the Girls Aloud beauty wasn’t left disappointed when her footballer hubby arrived unannounced at the ICC in Birmingham yesterday afternoon. Ashley surprised his wife with a bunch of flowers, a balloon and whisked her away for a celebratory lunch whilst she was filming auditions for the upcoming series of X Factor.
